GROW PROJECT
Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises, targeting 42,000 women in Northern Uganda through NUWEBIZ Foundation as implementing partner.
The GROW Project is a Government of Uganda, World Bank-supported initiative reducing gender inequality and promoting women's economic empowerment through investment in entrepreneurship programs and business centres.
Implemented by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD) in collaboration with the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), the project supports women entrepreneurs to transition from micro to small and from small to medium enterprises.
As at December 2024, 2,175 women in 84 districts had benefited from grants disbursed through six banking institutions.
